R2R Services approach to risk management integrates corporate governance, risk and compliance into an overriding management framework for the organisation that starts at board level and filters down throughout the organisation and to all employees.


R2R Services has in place a Corporate Governance Manual, consistent with the requirements of AS8000 – Good Governance Principles, which draws together in a single point of reference a clear statement of the structures, processes and principles used to guide the board in its deliberations.  The Manual sets out the:


  • Role of the Board, the Chairman, the Chief Executive Officer, individual board members and the expectations of all components  
  • Board’s decision making processes and the structure established to assist in this regard
  • Processes for ongoing review and continuous improvement of board operations


In addition to the above the organisation has in place policies and procedures relating to:


  • Fraud and corruption control
  • Codes of conduct
  • Corporate social responsibility
  • Whistle-blower protection programs


R2R Services’ risk management approach involves striving for a balance between realising opportunities for gains while minimising losses.  It is an integral part of the organisation’s business philosophy and is an iterative process consisting of various steps that when undertaken in sequence enables the organisation to create and protect value based on the following principles:

The risk management system leads to an effective compliance regime with the organisation being able to demonstrate its commitment to compliance with relevant laws, industry codes, and organisational standards as well as standards of good corporate governance, ethics and community and client expectations.

Through this risk management approach and general experience we will be able to anticipate risks and prevent negative outcomes and the proven reliability of the employees/sub-contractors and plant and equipment means that we can deliver continuity of operations no matter what the circumstances.


The establishment of an integrated team across the organisation and leveraging off other contracts will ensure continuity of operations in the event of employee absence.  In addition to the employees dedicated to a contract we will also have additional employees that can be deployed immediately, subject to approval of the Client.


Also as part of the risk management approach R2R Services has engaged a number of external consultants to provide advice and support to the organisation in the areas of:

  • Banking and Merchant Facilities 
  • Accounting (under review)
  • Insurance


Other advice and assistance is obtained from the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), the Australian Tax Office (ATO) and other relevant agencies (i.e. Fair Work Australia, Enterprise Connect and CCIWA) applicable to the area of expertise or statutory compliance.


By engaging external advice and support we will be able expand the knowledge and service base thus ensuring R2R Services has the latest advice and knowledge with regard to industry trends, legislative compliance, risk management and market intelligence that can be used to benefit our clients.
